The House of KUNSTHANDEL P. DE BOER B.V.
Herengracht 512
Herengracht
Our gallery is located at the Herengracht 512, a four-window-wide house without a back house. The 17th-century house was renovated in 1765, and many changes were made in about 1861, such as the door and window frames. The pavement with rococo balusters are from elsewhere.
Interior: three rooms on the first floor inserted in Louis XIV, XV and XVI style. A gothic room from Edam (all brought in, only the hallway and possibly the back room in Louis XV style dating from 1765) on the second floor. There is probably a 17th-century ceiling painting by Zacharias Webber (1644-1696) (signed).
Construction year: ±1687, 1765, 1861, 1923
Client: Pieter Six (1686/87), Cornelis Jacob van der Lijn (1765), Hendrik Luden (1861), David Granaat (1923), Piet de Boer (1941)
