Description
Willem van Diest was influenced by Jan van Goyen, Simon de Vlieger and Hendrick Dubbels.
His earliest dated work was 1629. His son and pupil was the painter Hiëronymus van Diest.
He was one of de founders of the ’Schildersconfrerie’ in the Hague in 1656.
